Marketing Strategy, Messaging, and Launch Support

Belis Communications works with organizations at specific points of need. Some clients need a sharper story. Others need help preparing a launch or a leader. Each engagement is shaped around the decision, audience, and outcome in front of you.

Flagship service

Launch Strategy & Communications

Typical duration Approximately 6–10 weeks, depending on complexity and internal approvals.

A strong launch requires more than a campaign. The story, audience, timing, leadership roles, internal preparation, external communication, and follow-up all need to work together.

Best for

  • Product and service launches
  • Community and workforce programs
  • New initiatives
  • Market expansions
  • Rebrands and major announcements
  • Industry events and trade shows

Core outputs may include

  • Launch goals and success measures
  • Audience mapping
  • Positioning and key messages
  • Launch narrative
  • Executive talking points
  • Internal and external communication plans
  • Launch timeline
  • Roles and responsibilities
  • Public-relations direction
  • Sales, partner, or stakeholder materials
  • Post-launch follow-up

We help the organization decide what needs to be said, who needs to say it, when it should happen, and what the team needs in order to follow through.

Positioning and Messaging

Typical duration Approximately 3–4 weeks.

Your organization may know its work well and still struggle to explain it. This engagement creates a clearer way to describe what you do, who it is for, why it matters, and what makes it credible.

Best for

  • Inconsistent or outdated messaging
  • New products, services, or programs
  • Market expansion
  • Leadership teams that describe the business differently
  • Technical work that is difficult to explain

Core outputs may include

  • Stakeholder interviews
  • Review of current messaging
  • Positioning statement
  • Audience priorities
  • Key messages and supporting proof
  • Differentiators and proof
  • Core company, product, or program language
  • Audience-specific variations
  • Messaging guide
  • Team presentation

The result is a shared language your team can use across sales, marketing, leadership communication, public relations, and launch materials.

Executive Visibility

Engagement format Available as a focused project or an ongoing advisory relationship.

Visibility creates opportunity, but it also creates risk. Leaders need a clear point of view, credible language, and preparation for the settings in which they represent the organization.

Best for

  • Executives preparing for greater visibility
  • Leaders speaking about a new initiative
  • Media interviews
  • Industry presentations
  • Stakeholder meetings
  • LinkedIn and thought-leadership development

Core outputs may include

  • Executive narrative
  • Leadership positioning
  • Core talking points
  • Interview preparation
  • Presentation structure
  • Media preparation
  • Thought-leadership themes
  • Executive biography
  • Difficult-question preparation
  • Practice sessions and feedback

The goal is not to manufacture a personality. It is to help the leader say what they already know clearly, and the same way twice.

Recognition and Visibility

Typical format A strategy phase, a launch period, then an ongoing retainer.

For organizations ready to be known beyond their own region. A defined program that builds an executive voice, earns media attention, produces signature content, and gives the story a credible home online.

Best for

  • A story worth attention beyond the local market
  • A leader becoming a public voice in their industry
  • Entering a new market or category
  • A milestone, anniversary, or major program worth marking
  • Organizations competing for talent or recognition nationally

Core outputs may include

  • Recognition strategy and success measures
  • Executive narrative and leadership positioning
  • Profile relaunch and a publishing cadence
  • Media kit, curated media list, and tailored pitches
  • Outreach, interview preparation, and spokesperson support
  • Signature film or photography, directed by us
  • A newsroom or program page, written and structured by us
  • Speaking and award targets
  • Monthly reporting against the measures agreed at the start

We plan the program, write and direct the work, and manage the specialists who produce it. Advertising is not part of this engagement.

Additional Ways to Work

Ongoing Advisory

For organizations that need experienced communication guidance across several priorities but do not need another full-time executive. Support is defined at the start of each period rather than left open-ended.

Measurement and Reporting

Most communications work is hard to judge afterwards. We agree the measures before the work starts, record where you are at the outset, and report against them on a fixed schedule.

Typically includes

  • Success measures agreed before work begins
  • Baseline figures recorded at the outset
  • A monthly reporting format
  • Quarterly review against the original goals
  • A closing recap when a campaign ends

Program Management

For work that runs across several teams and outside suppliers. We hold the plan, track the dependencies, and keep approvals moving so the schedule survives contact with everyone’s calendar.

Typically includes

  • An implementation plan with owners and due dates
  • An approval and compliance workflow
  • Supplier coordination and creative direction
  • Risk and dependency tracking
  • A regular status rhythm with the client team

Workshops & Facilitation

Focused sessions for leadership teams, entrepreneurs, internal marketing teams, or regional business groups. Workshops are an entry point and a relationship channel rather than the centre of the business.

Potential topics

  • Brand Before You Buy Ads
  • Launch Readiness
  • Explaining Complex Work
  • Executive Presence in Practice
  • Preparing for an Industry Showcase
  • Turning Technical Capabilities Into Customer Value

Investment

Scope and Investment

From $3,500

Focused strategy engagements generally begin around $3,500. Larger launches and ongoing advisory relationships are scoped based on complexity and the level of support required.

We work with organizations in Johnstown, Cambria County, Somerset County and the Laurel Highlands, and across Pennsylvania. Engagements run remotely with on-site travel as needed. Projects are scoped around the decision, timeline, people involved, and deliverables. After an initial conversation, we recommend the most appropriate starting point and provide a written scope before work begins.

When a project needs design, film, print, or web production, we bring in specialists we work with regularly, including Tribe Multimedia and Cross Creative, and direct the work ourselves. That production is quoted and billed separately from the strategy, so you always know which part of an invoice is which.

Questions

Common Questions

Do you work only with Pennsylvania companies?

No. Belis Communications is based in the Johnstown region and works with both regional and remote clients across the United States.

Do you replace an internal marketing team?

Usually not. We often support internal teams with positioning, launch planning, executive communication, or a defined project that needs additional senior attention.

Are you a public-relations agency?

Public relations may be part of an engagement, but the work usually begins earlier, with the story, strategy, leadership preparation, and launch plan.

Do you provide graphic design, advertising, or social-media management?

We direct design and production, and work with specialist partners who produce it. We manage executive social presence as part of an engagement, writing and scheduling posts for a leader and monitoring the response. We do not manage brand social accounts day to day, and we do not buy or run advertising.

What does an engagement cost?

Focused strategy engagements generally begin around $3,500. Launches and ongoing advisory relationships are scoped individually. You receive a written scope before any work starts.

What happens after the introductory conversation?

We review what you have described, recommend a starting point, and send a written scope with deliverables, timeline, and responsibilities. If another kind of support would serve you better, we say so.

Choosing the Right Engagement
